(U) Econoff delivered reftel points to Director of the
Directorate for Nature Protection at the Croatian Ministry of
Culture, Kornelija Pintaric, on 1 February. Pintaric told us
that Croatia will support the U.S. position on shark species
at the upcoming Conference of the Parties for the Convention
on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna
and Flora (CITES). Post will supmit septel any additional
information on Croatia's position at the conference on other
species listed in reftel.
