Hamamoto, Principal Deputy Director, Second Middle East
Division in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Middle Eastern
and African Affairs Bureau to deliver the referenced
demarche. He was aware of the Amcits in question. Mr.
Hamamoto said he would consult with his Division and contact
the Japanese embassy in Tehran. He said he would inform post
of any relevant updates. Post provided the points in
paragraph 7 of the reference as a non-paper.
