MFA Americas Division Director Otar Berdzenishvili informed
A/DCM on January 14 that Georgia intends to send a plane with
humanitarian assistance to Haiti via the United States. If
possible, Georgia would like to insert its humanitarian
assistance into a U.S. distribution channel. Georgia
currently seeks to contribute bottled water, medical supplies
and search and rescue personnel. Post will report further
details when available.
