STATE 4854 ¶B. STOCKHOLM 19 ¶C. STOCKHOLM 17 ¶1. On January 20, Emboff shared reftel points regarding Sweden's humanitarian assistance to Haiti with Swedish Ministry For Foreign Affairs Americas Desk Officer Sara Ramierez. Ramierez told Emboff that Sweden has provided a total of $27.1 million in post-earthquake humanitarian assistance to Haiti, and that Sweden will continue to review future assistance to Haiti. She also provided an approximate breakdown of an immediate payment of $14.3 million, which raises Sweden's total assistance to $27.1 million as of January 20, 2010, and does not include Sweden's previously reported $60.7 million contribution to the UN Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF). The immediate $14.3 million payment will be allocated as follows: - $4.4 million to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to be used as "cash for work" efforts for clean-up operations, tents, psychological support, hygiene, water and sanitation; - $3.4 million to Unicef to provide basic health care to women and children, improve access to water and sanitation and provide nutrition to infants; - $1.8 million to Action contre la Faim (ACF) to provide access to water and sanitation, - $1.8 million to Oxfam to provide access to water, - $1.8 million to World Vision (WV) to provide health care, - $1.1 million to Medical Emergency Relief International (MERLIN) to provide general health care and prevent epidemics. ¶2.
