(U) This cable responds to the action request in reftel requesting human rights vetting for the candidate nominated to attend the INTERNATIONAL MILITARY OFFICER COURSE ON MARCH 15 - MAY 25, 2010 IN YORKTOWN, VA. ¶2. (SBU) The Department of State has vetted the individual listed in reftel and possesses no credible derogatory information as of 02/19/2010. Post is authorized to include the following individual in USG-funded training: NAME: Paata Vashakidze; ORGANIZATION: Georgian Coast Guard; TITLE: Coast Guard Officer; DOB: July 14, 1980; PLACE OF BIRTH: Ochamchire, Georgia; SEX: Male; NATIONALITY: Georgian; PASSPORT NUMBER: 07PA40711; EXPIRATION DATE: July 10, 2018 ¶3. (U) Post is permitted to provide the following statement to authorized parties: Embassy verifies that the Department of State possesses no credible information of gross violations of human rights by the individual identified above, as of 02/19/2010.
