1. (SBU) In a February 25 meeting with David McDuff, Senior
Policy Officer in the Non-Proliferation and Nuclear Disarmament
Division of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International
Trade, polmiloff delivered reftel message about the 2010 GCINT
plenary. McDuff offered no substantive comments but noted that
the timing of the meeting will be difficult for Canada given the
Canadian-hosted G-8/G-20 Summits June 25-27. McDuff underscored
that nonproliferation is a major theme of the Canadian G-8
Presidency, and all relevant senior officials will be fully
occupied with those G8 meetings.
