1. (C) On February 10, 2010, POLOFF delivered Ref A points to
Panayiotis Papadopoulos, MFA Counselor in the Department of
Multilateral Affairs and International Organizations,
Political Affairs Division. Papadopoulos did not commit
Cyprus to any bilateral actions in follow-up to the recent EU
statement, but planned to take up the matter with the MFA
Permanent Secretary immediately. (Note: Per Ref B, Ambassador
met the Permanent Secretary last week to discuss the need for
next steps given Iran's failure to respond to diplomatic
engagement. End note.)
