1. (SBU) P/E Chief shared translated points and joint communique
(reftel) February 4 with MFA Secretary General Mahamat Moussa Dago,
who was generally supportive of the U.S. efforts. Dago was focused
on the continual natural disasters that befall Haiti. He noted that
the GOC had contributed USD 500K to Haitian relief efforts and
seemed a bit taken aback by Senegalese President Wade's offer of
land and repatriation in Senegal for affected Haitians.
