Per para six reftel request, Moses Wetangula, Minister of Foreign Affairs, will lead the Kenyan delegation to the AU Summit from January 28-30. President Kibaki will lead the delegation from his arrival in Addis Ababa on January 30 to his departure on February 2. No flight information is available, but Wetangula will arrive the evening of January 27, and Kibaki will arrive the evening of January 30. ¶2. Per para four reftel request, we have notified the Minister of Foreign Affairs that A/S Carson would like to meet bilaterally with both President Kibaki and Minister of Foreign Affairs Wetangula on the margins of the summit. ¶3. Precise details on the Kenyan delegation have yet to be determined. At present the remainder of the delegation consists of: -- Samuel Poghisio, Minister of Information and Communication. -- Yusuf Haji, Minister of Defense -- Major General Michael Gichangi, Director General, National Security Intelligence Services -- General Jeremiah Kianga, Chief of General Staff, Kenya Department of Defense Other ministers are likely to attend, as well as numerous officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
