SUBJECT: HUMAN RIGHTS REVIEW OF DOD-FUNDED TRAINING ACTIVITIES
1. (SBU) This is an action request for human rights
verification required by the Leahy Amendment; see paragraph 2.
2. (SBU) The Embassy requests the Department's assistance in
performing human rights vetting for the following individuals:
AL HAJRI, HILAL (DOB 6-14-1954; Omani passport#UNK)
Of the Royal Army of Oman who intends to travel to the United
States on or about January 20, 2010 under the DoD Counterterrorism
Fellowship Funds, US Special Operations Command, Program Fiscal
Year 2010 for an educational conference at the unclassified level
with other foreign military and defense related individuals.
Embassy Muscat has found no information of any kind that this
individual has committed human rights violations
