1. (C) We delivered reftel points to Valery I. Pospelov,
Head of the Yemen Division in the MFA's Middle East and North
Africa Department. He indicated that the GOR shares our
interest in creating economic opportunities in Yemen. Mr.
Pospelov stated that FM Lavrov would attend the London
meeting but he was unsure of who would accompany him. He was
also unable to share any information about Moscow's
substantive plans for the London meeting.
