1. Mexico's Foreign Secretariat (SRE),per diplomatic note
000584 dated February 8, addressed to the EMBASSY advised us that
Mexico is seeking the support of the USG for the reelection of
Ambassador Jorge Palacios Trevino to the Inter-American Judicial
Committee (IJC) for the period 2011-2014. The elections are
scheduled to be held during the 40th session of the OAS General
Assembly, that will take place in Lima, July 6-8, 2010.
2. Action Request: EMBASSY requests Department guidance on
responding to Mexico's appeal for support.
