SUBJECT: LESOTHO'S RESPONSE TO CITES DEMARCHE

Lesotho is a Party to CITES, having ratified the convention on
October 1, 2003. The date of entry into force was December 30,
¶2003. Post submitted the reftel points and questions to the
Director of Environment at the Ministry of Tourism, Environment,
and Culture. When the demarche was submitted, the Ministry did
not know who would make up their delegation to COP15. We will
alert the Department if we receive any substantive response to
the talking points.
