SUBJECT: HUMAN RIGHTS REVIEW FOR DOD FUNDED TRAINING
ACTIVITIES- KUWAIT MARINE FORCES
1. This is an action request for human rights verification
required by the Leahy Amendment; see para 2.
2. Post requests the Department's assistance in performing
human rights vetting for the following unit and unit
commander of the Kuwait Marine Forces, who have been selected
to participate in a CENTCOM-sponsored Joint Combined Exchange
Training (JCET) o/a 7 March 2010 - 3 April 2010,
pursuant to the Leahy Amendment and Foreign Assistance Act.
At this time Post possesses no credible information of human
rights violations by the unit or its commander.
3. Unit: Kuwait Marine Forces. Unit Commander: AL MULLA,
Ahmad Y A A T. Location: Kuwait City, Kuwait.
