(U) Econoff delivered reftel points about the U.S. initiatives for the 15th meeting of the CITES Conference of the Parties (COP15) taking place March 13-25 in Doha to Captain Ali Al-Haider, Deputy Director General for Kuwait's Environmental Public Authority on January 31st. Al-Haider affirmed that he was aware of USG initiatives and added that Dr. Salah Al-Mudhi, the Director General for KEPA and Mona Al-Faraj, the Living Resources Department Director, would be attending the conference. ¶2.
