1. (S/NF) DCM Mark Asquino convened Khartoum's Emergency Action

Committee (EAC) on January 14 as directed in ref a. RSO, POL, RAO,

MGT, DLO, CONS, USAID, PAO, ESC OIC, and CLO were in attendance.

The DCM and ConsChief provided an overview of Visas Viper and

inquired if anyone had questions about the program. ConsChief

asked if there were any submissions since the Visas Viper and

Emergency Action Committees last convened on January 6 (refs b and

c). The EAC members did not have any new submissions nor were they

aware of any information not previously reported by the EAC.

ConsChief asked if there was any additional biographical

information, such as dates of birth, for the 17 names submitted to

the Visas Viper Committee on January 6. RAO assured the EAC they

would provide biographical data to Consular if it becomes

available. The names submitted by RAO to the committee on Jan 6

(ref b) are as follows:

2. (S/NF) Prior to concluding the EAC, the DCM and ConsChief

reminded the EAC that Visas Viper submissions can be made at

anytime. The Visas Viper Committee will continue to meet monthly

or more frequently as necessary.
