This is an action request. See para three. ¶2. The following candidate has been selected for participation in the Aviation Leadership Program (ALP) in USA, which has begun on November 12, 2009. The course will last for approximately one year and the participant will begin as soon as possible. Post vetting was completed on January 3, 2010. Post requests that vetting be completed by January 15, 2010 to provide sufficient time for processing. Post requests the department conduct Leahy vetting for the following candidate: ¶1. Name: Md Tanwir Adeeb Rank: Pilot Officer Unit: 15 Squadron BAF Unit Location: Jessore Personal Number: 9331 Date of Birth: 5 January 1987 Place of Birth: Chittagong, Bangladesh ¶3. Post requests that the Department of State authorize post to make the following statement to the relevant DOD units: "Embassy verifies that the Department of State possesses no credible information of gross violations of human rights by the above named individual or unit." ¶4. Post Human Rights Officer is David Arulanantham, unclass e-mail:arulananthamdp@state.gov. ¶5. COMMENT: Embassy has no information to indicate these individuals or any units they have served in have been involved in gross violations of human rights. DEAN
