1. (U) Thanh Le, Director for Humanitarian and Emergency
Response Operations at AusAID, confirmed January 20 that the
A$10 million being provided to Haiti, is registered with the
UN OCHA Financial Tracking System (reftel). Australia
strongly supports the use of the FTS and will continue to
register any additional donations in that system, including
an expected additional A$5 million for reconstruction after
assessment by the UN.
