1. (U) In response to reftel request for information on
energy portfolio allocation at EMBASSY Budapest, the
following officers cover energy-related issues:
- Jeff Jordan, Economic Officer (jordanjm@state.gov,
36-1-475-4226),is the primary officer responsible for the
Hungarian energy sector, including the oil, gas, and
electricity sectors, energy relations with key foreign
suppliers, energy transit and distribution infrastructure,
energy supply diversification, and development of alternative
energies such as nuclear and renewables.
- Sam Kotis, ESTH Hub Officer (kotiss@state.gov,
36-1-475-4670),covers energy from the standpoint of
Hungary's climate policy, focusing primarily on Hungarian
efforts to develop renewable energy resources.
- Anett Zellei, ESTH FSN (zelleia@state.gov, 36-1-475-4456),
and Tibor Kovacs, ESTH FSN (kovacst@state.gov,
36-1-475-4439),both cover Hungarian climate policy and
renewable energy development.
