1. (S) In response to State reftel delivered to the MFA on
February 2, MFA International Organizations and Conferences
Department UN Affairs Division Attache Jiang Bo informed
PolOff on February 12 that the PRC supported U.S. proposal to
submit the name of Muthanna Hadith al-Dari to the UN 1267
Sanctions Committee on February 16, 2010 for inclusion in its
consolidated list of individuals subject to UN Security
Council-mandated sanctions. Jiang also promised to convey
the information to the appropriate office at the UN in New
York.
