delivered reftel demarche on January 28 to Mohammad
Tarawaneh, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Director for
International Relations and Organizations. Tarawaneh
welcomed the invitation and note verbale, and confirmed
Jordan's support for the broader summit objectives.
Tarawaneh promised to query those currently registered to
attend the February meeting in The Hague -- his director
Ambassador Moussa Burayzat as Sherpa, Jordan Atomic EnerQ
Commission Vice Chairman and Commissioner for International
Cooperation Kamal Araj as sous-Sherpa, and General
Intelligence Directorate official and Jordan Nuclear
Regulatory Commission board member Col. Nahjeh Al-Azzam -- on
any specific GOJ recommendations for the draft communique.
Post will report any substantive response septel.
