1. Ref email requested that post conduct seven separate
post-shipment verifications for numerous and various aircraft
related parts and equipment. The U.S. exporters for these shipments
are Rockwell Collins, Wichita, KS; Universal Avionics Systems,
Tucson, AZ; and ASB Avionics, Mojave, CA. The items were exported
as NLR but classified under ECCN:
7A994.
2. On January 17, 2010, Export Control Officer met with Mr. Abdulla
Foulathi, Materials Manager at Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies
(ADAT). ADAT was formerly known as Gulf Aircraft Maintenance
Company (GAMCO) and the subject of Ref B reliable EXTRANCHECK. ADAT
is entirely owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi and provides
maintenance and repair services to commercial and military aircraft
(www.adat.ae). Foulathi readily provided relevant documentation for
these transactions indicating these items were destined for UAE
based end users including the UAE Air Force.
3. Post considers Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies to be a reliable
recipient of US origin items for these transactions.
