In a May 13 meeting with Director of Americas at the Ministry of External Affairs Joe Nzume, Pol/Econ Chief and DCM delivered reftel demarche seeking Cameroon's support for Kosovo's World Bank application, thanking him for Cameroon's support on Kosovo's IMF application. Nzume was noncommittal about the World Bank issue, saying that the Finance Ministry would make this decision. On May 18, Ambassador Garvey demarched Henri Eyebe Ayissi, Minister of External Relations, on the Kosovo/World Bank issue; Ayissi had no comment, noting that the matter fell to the Minister of Finance. DCM demarched Essimi Menye, Minister of Finance on May 19 on the same issue; Menye said the issue fell under the competence of the Minister of the Economy. Post is seeking a meeting at the Ministry of the Economy to present the demarche after the May 20-21-26 holidays in Cameroon. GARVEY
