We delivered reftel points on August 20 to Rita Kazragiene,
head of the United Nations and Global Policy Division of the
MFA. She said Lithuania's general policy was to support
officials up for reelection who had performed well. She also
said Lithuania would most likely be supportive of the U.S.
candidate because of the close alliance between Lithuania and
the United States. She did not, however, make an explicit
promise of support.
