Polchief discussed reftel points June 12 with Bernhard
Zimburg, MFA Director for East Asia and the Pacific. Zimburg
said the GOA will support the draft UNSC resolution
concerning the threat of nuclear proliferation in North
Korea. Zimburg said the GOA regrets that a reference to the
CTBT was removed from the preamble, and would likely note its
regret while voting in favor of the resolution. Zimburg's
comments follow a June 10 meeting between CDA and GOA Poldir
Stefan Lehne, during which Lehne assured us Austria would
back a strong resolution
