(C) Polchief discussed reftel points April 6 with Bruno
Bilek, MFA Acting Director for East Asia and the Pacific.
Bilek said the GOA considers the North Korean missile launch
a clear violation of UNSCR 1718 and "can be counted on" to
support a UNSCR condemning the launch. He said the GOA
position is consistent with the statement issued by the EU
Presidency, which "strongly condemned" the launch. Bilek
said he hopes the UNSC can reach agreement on a strong
resolution, rather than settling for a weaker statement.
