(S) Mission Vienna has identified the following CI/KR sites in Austria: --Baxter AG, Vienna, Austria: Immune Globulin Intravenous (IGIV) --Octapharma Pharmazeutika, Vienna, Austria: Immune Globulin Intravenous (IGIV) --Baumgarten an der March gas facility ¶2. (S) The two medical plants produce IGIV antibodies for patients with immune deficiencies. The Baumgarten gas facility is located about 30km east of Vienna. Approximately one-third of Western Europe's gas from Russia flows through Baumgarten, which is operated by the Austrian oil/gas company OMV. When completed, the Nabucco pipeline from eastern Turkey will terminate in Baumgarten. ¶3. (U) The Ministry of Interior holds primary responsibility for CI protection.
