of Agriculture and Environment (Cabinet of the Minister and
departments of International Trade and Plant Cultivation),Ministry
of Health (departments of Biotechnology and Consumer Health),and
Economic Ministry (Department of Multilateral Trade and WTO
affairs).
2. Post did not receive a response to the demarche, but Austria has
a long history of opposing biotechnology varietals in agriculture,
both domestically and within the EU.
