Econ/Pol Counselor shared reftel views/questions with
Austrian MFA Director for East Asia Bernhard Zimburg on Dec.
¶2. Zimburg replied that Austria intends to speak in Geneva
on December 7 and raise both questions about and
recommendations for DPRK human rights practices. He reported
that Austria is "informally and loosely" coordinating its
remarks there with other EU Missions. He was appreciative of
the insight into U.S. plans.
