As reported Reftel B, Malta,s Permanent Secretary pledged
20,000 euros to support the Palestinian Authority at the
Sharm al-Sheikh conference in early March. On March 13,
PolOff followed up with Patrick Mifsud, MFA Director for
External Relations, who indicated that the amount of the
pledge as well as the composition and disbursal of the pledge
were still under deliberation; he was waiting for the final
decision to be made at the political level. In a follow up
call to Mifsud on March 23, he indicated there was no clear
timing as to when the GOM would be able to confirm the
details regarding the pledge.
