USUN has emailed to Department (IO/PSC-Tammy Pomerleau and EUR-IO/EX/FM-Alice Green) a copy of a note and three related annexes from the SYG dated 26 August 2009 concerning the financing of two peacekeeping operations. Annex One contains current amounts payable by the U.S. Government as follows: Operation Amount -------------- -------------- United Nations Operation in $ 55,542,529 Cote d'Ivoire (UNOCI) 8 January 2009 to 31 December 2009 African Union-United Nations $180,589,954 Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) 8 January 2009 to 31 December 2009 Total Payable: $236,132,483 ¶2. The note states that funds are urgently required for the financing of these operations and are due within thirty days of receipt of the note. Bank accounts to which payment may be made are contained in Annex Three. ¶3. Annex Two provides the legislative basis, the period covered, the gross and net amounts to be apportioned and the symbol of the document in which the details of the assessments of all member states will be reflected. ¶4.
