1. In response to reftel, USUN grants mission clearance to
Basil Ottley, Department of Interior, Office of Insular
Affairs. Mr. Ottley requests permission to observe sessions
of the C-24 Meetings between June 14 and 16, 2009 concerning
Puerto Rico's political status.
2. As per normal USG practice at the C-24, Mr. Ottley does
not intend to participate in discussions, make interventions,
or sit behind the U.S. placard.
3. His point of contact will be Michael Gordon, USUN
Political Adviser, (212) 415-4469.
