USUN has emailed to Department (IO/PSC-Tammy Pomerleau and EUR-IO/EX/FM-Alice Green) a copy of a note and three related annexes from the SYG dated March 6, 2009 concerning the financing of two peacekeeping operations. Annex One contains current amounts payable by the U.S. Government as follows: Operation Assessment -------------- -------------- UN Observer Mission in Georgia (UNOMIG) $ 3,122,759 2/16/2009 to 6/15/2009 UN Integrated Mission in $15,929,705 Timor-Leste (UNMIT) 2/27/2009 to 6/30/2009 Total Payable: $19,052,464 ¶2. The note also states that the following amounts remain payable for prior years: UNOMIG $6,847,483 UNMIT $3,771,741 ¶3. The note states that funds are urgently required for the financing of these operations and are due within thirty days of receipt of the note. Bank accounts to which payment may be made are contained in Annex Three. ¶4. Annex Two provides the legislative basis, the period covered, the gross and net amounts to be apportioned and the symbol of the document in which the details of the assessments of all member states will be reflected. ¶4.
