1. (S) A core group of EAC members met December 28 to
discuss the contents of reftel under the chairmanship of the
DCM. Present at the meeting were SDO/DATT, P/E Couns, ARSO
and Deputy ORA Chief. The discussion reviewed the contents
of reftel and concluded that its very general nature did not
warrant major changes in the Mission's security posture. The
ARSO said that limited enhancements on inspection of vehicles
had been ordered for those cars parked in the Mission's lot,
which is outside of the official perimeter. The Mission
believes that GOT resources are committed to the protection
of sensitive public targets, including in the southern
tourist zones currently popular at this time of the year, and
that no other action was required.
