(C) In a November 25 conversation, Pol-Econ Counselor stressed to Hatim Landaloussi, Deputy Director for the Americas at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the USG's continuing strong concerns about Iran's incomplete and unsatisfactory cooperation with the IAEA. Drawing from points conveyed reftel, Pol-Econ Counselor underlined that the USG would use the November 26 meeting of the IAEA Board of Governors to highlight the failure of Iran to abide by commitments it made on October 1 and added that the U.S. was urging the international community to hold firm on its demands that Iran provide a full and transparent accounting of its nuclear activities. Pol-Econ Counselor said the U.S. was counting on Tunisia's support in this matter of major international importance. ¶2. (C) Landaloussi offered no substantive response but undertook to convey the USG's views to senior levels of the Foreign Ministry. GRAY
