(C) Japan will be represented at the March 31 International Conference on Afghanistan at The Hague by Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone, confirms MOFA Second Middle East Division Principal Deputy Director Yukiya Hamamoto. Nakasone will be accompanied by Special Representative for Assistance to Afghanistan and Pakistan Ambassador Motohide Yoshikawa and MOFA Director General for Middle Eastern and African Affairs Toshiro Suzuki. ¶2. (C) Foreign Minister Nakasone would like to arrange for a bilateral meeting with the Secretary on the margins of this meeting, according to MOFA First North America Division Principal Deputy Director Yukio Saita.
