1. Embassy delivered diplomatic note and attachment per ref B to
Japan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding case 823 January 5,
2009 and received the GOJ note number 599/DNS-IN in reply.
2. The text of the GOJ note is exactly the same as the previously
used standard text, ref A, except for the specification of number
and date above.
3. Certified copy of the U.S. note and attachment, and original of
the GOJ DNS-IN number, were pouched to the Department (ISN/NESS -
Robin DeLaBarre) on February 18, 2009 under registry no. 5723923.
