Ishimura provided follow-up to Emboffs' request, per refs A
and B, for any additional information pertinent to USG review
of UNSCR 1267 Consolidated List tranche three names pursuant
to paragraph 25 of UNSCR 1822. Ishimura again stated that
Japan appreciates our efforts on ensuring the integrity and
accuracy of the sanctions regime. She explained that after
checking with counterparts and MOFA files, she discovered
that relevant agencies, including MOFA, Ministry of Finance,
National Police Agency, and Public Security Intelligence
Agency, completed their research in May 2009 after receiving
notice from the 1267 Committee directly and have no further
information to add.
