ON KOSOVO'S DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE

On September 2, Poloff spoke with Saimir Repishti, Head of
the UN Department at the MFA regarding reftel. Repishti
thanked us for the information and for the continued U.S.
support for Kosovo. Repishti noted that the GOA filed briefs
with the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in April and
July and plans to make an oral argument in December. He
added that he would ask his superiors whether or not the GOA
desires U.S. assistance in preparing the GOA's oral brief.
