(SBU) On June 1, Poloff delivered reftel talking points and
information to Ilir Melo, Chief of the Americas desk at the
MFA. Melo then discussed the demarche with FM Basha and
Basha said that the GOA plans to mimic the U.S. plans, as
outlined in reftel, for the Regional Cooperation Council
(RCC) meeting if Kosovo is not invited to the RCC. Both Melo
and FM Basha again expressed the GOA's profound appreciation
for the U.S. and its policies toward Kosovo.
