(C) The Dutch will support Lucretia Myers' candidacy for the
UN International Civil Service Commission (ICSC). Post
shared reftel A points with the Dutch MFA. Vincent Roza at
the UN and IFI Directorate responded that the Netherlands had
"carefully evaluated all the candidates" and considered Myers
one of the strongest. (Note: The Netherlands was previously
undecided (reftel B). End Note.) Roza added that the Dutch
understand that the United States does not trade votes on
candidates, but nonetheless they would welcome favorable
consideration of future Dutch candidates to international
positions.
