(C) Dutch Minister for Development Cooperation Koenders will
likely represent the Netherlands at the Pakistan Donors
conference on April 17. Embassy passed reftel A points to
key contacts at the MFA. Harry van Dijk, Director for South
Asia, responded that the Dutch still had not settled on a
final amount of development funding for Pakistan, or on a
date for a public announcement of the funding. However, if
other ministers are announcing pledges in Tokyo, Koenders
will likely follow suit. As reported in reftel B, the Dutch
expect to pledge at most 112 million euros over three years,
for development and governance programs.
