1.(U) Embassy delivered reftel points to key contacts at the
Dutch MFA. Hein van der Hoeven, of the UN Directorate,
explained the Netherlands had agreed with other western
nations to follow a proposal from the UK to "not lobby for
our candidates. Only diplomatic notes asking for support
have been sent. So far we have not received any demarche."
The MFA legal department will assess the candidates and
consult with the Dutch mission in New York before voting.
