1. Pol Couns delivered reftel points to MFA Deputy Director
General for International Organizations (IO A/S equivalent)
Eviatar Manor February 27. Manor expressed appreciation for
the U.S. decision not to continue to participate in the
Durban Review Conference based on the current draft outcome
text.
2. Regarding our decision to participate as an active
observer in the upcoming Human Rights Council session, Manor
said Israel's recommendation is that the U.S. wait to
announce a decision to run for a seat on the Council until it
is clear that the Council is reforming.
