1. (SBU) Following up the discussion on 14 April between the
Secretary and Minister of Foreign Affairs Grigol Vashadze in
Washington, the Ambassador was informed on 16 April by Deputy
Foreign Minister Alexander Nalbandov of Georgia's decision
not to submit a brief to the International Court of Justice
(ICJ) arguing against the legality of Kosovo's declaration of
independence. Nalbandov provided a letter to the Ambassador
which will be forwarded to EUR/CARC.
