1. (SBU) In May 2008, Minister of Internal Affairs Bohodir
Matlyubov appointed Major Ravshan Nematovich Ismatov as Chief of
the Transportation Section of Internal Affairs (Transportation
Police) at Termez Railway Station in Surkhandarya Province.
Ismatov, an ethnic Uzbek, was born in 1963. He graduated from
Tashkent State University. Ismatov began his police career in
1991. Between 1991 and 1994, he served as an Investigator in the
Investigations Group of the Transportation Police at Navoi Railway
Station and as an Investigator in the Investigations Group of the
Transportation Police Section at the Bukhara Railway Station.
2. (SBU) Between 1994 and 2009, Ismatov served as Senior
Investigator, then Chief of the Investigation Group of the
Transport Police Section at Navoi Railway Station, then Chief of
the Investigation Group of the Transportation Police Section at
Bukhara Railway Station. Following this, he served as Detachment
Chief of the Separate Police Battalion of the Department of
Internal Affairs for Transportation Issues of the Ministry of
Internal Affairs.
