SUBJECT: SWEDEN'S RESPONSE TO CYSTIC FIBROSIS STUDY PROPOSAL
REF: STATE 121848
Post provided reftel to Dr. J. Todd Weber, CDC Liaison at the
European Center for Disease Prevention and Control in
Stockholm, for review and recommendation. Weber replied that
the proposal, which he noted had already been approved by
Institutional Review Boards at all participating countries,
"is clearly a legitimate drug/chemical to be studying at the
Phase III stage." Post does not forsee any foreign policy
implications for the study.
