SUBJECT: SWEDEN PONDERING CONTRIBUTION TO PAKISTAN'S IDP

Majeed Olerud-Khoso, Deputy Director at the MFA's Department
for South Asia, told post on March 16 that Sweden has not yet
reached a decision regarding its contribution to the UN's
revised humanitarian response plan for Pakistan's IDP.
Olerud-Khoso commented that Sweden provided $1.1 million to
the response plan in 2008. He stated that the Swedish
International Development Agency (Sida) has decided to pay
$118,000 to Islamic Relief and to provide an additional
$92,000 through the International Committee of the Red Cross.
Post will report Sweden's final decision septel.
