This is an Action Request. See paragraph 4. ¶2. The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Post's assistance in conducting a pre-license check on licenses 050187515, 050190012, and 050190221 for the export of ammunition to Argentina. Post is requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 30 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for Request: Based on a comparison of supporting documentation, it appears that end-users Stahl Hunter (050187515),Pablo Pereyra Pose (050190012),and Paulina Pereyra Pose (050190221) are operating under the same business. A Blue Lantern check conducted on Stahl Hunter in 2003 raised some general concerns with the large quantities of ammunition being imported into Argentina by the company (REFTEL). This check is to establish the bona fides of these end-users and to determine the annual sales of the companies. ¶4. Action Request: Post is requested to establish the bona fides of end-users Pablo Pereyra Pose and Paulina Pereyra Pose/Stahl Hunter by making inquiries to representatives of the companies and appropriate authorities of the Government of Argentina. Post is specifically requested to verify if Pablo Pereyra Pose and Paulina Pereyra Pose are operating under the same business. Who are its principals? --Does the company do business under any other name? Does the company do business in any other countries? --What products and services does your company provide? Why did those two purchase orders bear the same purchase order number? Why do they list different addresses?
