The Department's Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance (PM/DTCC) requests Posts' assistance in conducting a post-shipment check on license 050096758 for the export of aircraft spare parts to Malaysia. Posts are requested to complete this Blue Lantern check within 45 days. Lack of response to a Blue Lantern check will affect pending and future licenses involving parties to this license. ¶3. Reason for request: To substantiate the bona fides of parties involved in the authorized transaction. ¶4. Action Canberra: Post is requested to make inquiries with host government officials to confirm that Foreign Consignee Goodrich Control Systems placed an order for aircraft spare parts on behalf of the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). Conduct a site visit to assess the company's reliablity as a recipient of United States Munitions List (USML) items as well as it operations and on-site security. Emphasize that the unauthorized re-export or retransfer of USML items is strictly prohibited. Action Kuala Lumpur: The Department requests that Post confirm with the RMAF that it has received the USML items listed below in full and that they are being used for the purpose stated on the license.
